There are a few key things to keep in mind when hiring greatness.
First, you need to identify what it is that makes someone great at their job. This is very likely a combination of skills, experience, and personal qualities.
Once you know what you’re looking for, you need to find the right candidate. This means looking beyond the resume and getting to know the person behind it. Resumes tell less than 1% of an individual’s story.
Finally, you need to create an environment that allows greatness to thrive. This means providing the resources, support, and challenges that great employees need to do their best work.
This is truly the hard part and given the new demands set upon us by the 4th Industrial Revolution’s new demands on leaders will prove to be the most difficult.
